Interesting. I like Elfhelms stat line and his Curse these Roots! special rule that's pretty cool. But I'm not sure about his free heroic march and Gifted Horsemen rule. Fight six on the charge isn't to bad but I'm a little iffy on weather its within reason for him, the moving full and shooting thing is great though. His free marching now that's got to go or at least be altered in some fashion. If you want to express his tactical skill I think you should give him a free counter march or a better chance to win heroic role offs or an ambush style rule. The free heroics are meant for the greatest of the heroes and some cheesy evil models, I think Elfhelm was good but not that good.

I agree that the Heroic March might be just a bit much.

Just make Elfhelm call it for free in the first turn, not every turn.

I personally think that Elfhelm was one of the greater Heroes of Rohan during the War of the Ring, perhaps even on par with Éomer. Thus the reason he has that Special Rule which gives him and his men the ability to travel fast around the battlefield.

During the War of the Ring I think that the most prominent Rohirrim Heroes in the Book where:

1. Théoden Ednew, King of the Rohirrim
2. Éomer, Third Marshal of the Riddermark
3. Elfhelm, Marshal of the East-mark
4. Éowyn, Shield Maiden of Rohan

I think the shield maiden profile is alright.

For Elfhelm remember Faramir was a big player to and he don't have that OP of a stat line or a killer special rules to make that point. He is just well priced and versatile for what he could do making him a common sight on the field.

This axe of Rohan rule, that's just a throwing axe. The throwing spear already covers a throwing weapon and the hand axe already covers close combat, I don't think they need something like that.

If I made a Gondor supplement I would probably give Faramir a lot more Special rules too! :rofl:

But its true, these profiles need to fit in with the already existing ones.
