Post subject: | Where to play |
Hi guys Ive been collecting these models for years (must of been about 8 years as I was 9ish when I first started). At first I used to just like collecting them and kinda got bored and stopped doing anything with them for a few years. About 3 years ago I was in a city christmas shopping and saw a games workshop which had only just opened and decided to have a look inside and see what had changed. One of the staff showed me how to play (it was the moria box set basicly) and I then got back into it and began reading up on the rules and painting (this time a lot better than I had been at the age of 9 :p). Only problem was that I was approaching a very busy time at school with exams/ revision and I never found the time for them after the christmas holidays. Started college last summer and that was 6 days a week but when the current summer holidays approached I got hooked on them again and began buying a few bulk lots off ebay. I will now have enough time to continue this hobby as my college days will only be 3 a week next term. It really disapoints me that Games Workshop mainly focuses on Warhammer (which I dont find interesting at all). When I visited a games workshop 3 years ago no one at all was playing lord of the rings. I live in Herefordshire (UK) and am wondering if there are any groups/ clubs that are about in the country/ area that specialise in lord of the rings. A few years back my local library had a club going for warhammer/ lord of the rings but I dont think they do it anymore. Best Regards and Many Thanks, Jeremy |
