All, Been about 5 years since I've painted a model, and my Citadel Colours are all bone dry in the pots. What's the best way to get them back into working condition? I'd hate to rebuy as I have quite a few colors and don't like the $4 price tag on each pot. Thanks! Ian |

I revived mine by using a tooth pick to poke holes into the sludge. Added water and used a sculpting tool to mix it. It takes some work, but water and patience are the best tools. You may not be able to revive some of the paints though. |

Its a real pain when that happens ain't it - specially when some of the dried up colours are the ones you can't get anymore - my brazen brass and beaten copper were dried up quite badly and as Elland says just pick holes in it - i used the wrong end of an old brush add water and fingers crossed. |

patience is really key to this. I don't usually have it. On the plus side, even if you add a little too much water while trying to recover the paints, we usually paint watered down anyway so it just saves time. I do find metalics are the hardest to get back. They like to remain gooey. |

Well, I've successfully been able to get most of them back to speed, but lost my Skull White and Dwarf Flesh pots. They were so old they had the screw on lids. Looks like I'll be placing a GW order soon... |

At least you can still get those two colors. My Jade Green flatlined (died), and my Leprous Brown is getting more and more difficult to keep from drying out |
