Guys, Just wondering about this. I am an old gamer at 49 (almost 50) Am I too old to be playing with miniatures and toy soldiers! ?? Should I seek advice from my psychiastrist? Hmm, I forgot, he's the president of our club! Really though, how old are we all ? As mentioned, I am well into my 40s Cheers, Arthur |

I'm a ways younger than you, but I'm old enough to remember the FIRST time Games Workshop made Lord of the Rings figures. I figure if you're not dead, you can play |

It looks like you guys are all spring chickens. Have you included your miniatures in your will yet? |

I'm an "experienced" player, too! I'm right there with Whafrog. I really enjoy the strategy of the game and the painting/collecting aspect, too. We're never to old to play games we love and keep our minds occupied with hobbies. It's healthy! The time I stop... will be the time my heart stops! |

I am 55. How long have you been gaming with Miniatures? The oldest LOR figure I have is dated 1979. I have some that may be older. Sadly none with dates. Before you say it, they are not up to current standard. |

Three Ages of Men have I walked this Middle-earth... and none dare to challenge my entertainment with tiny little soldiers! They are like train-sets and dogs: you are NEVER too old to play with the dogs or mess about with trains. |

damn, i'm feeling young. 16 over here, most of my 'local' gaming buddies are about my age, though we have some 12 year olds too. the average age on the tournaments we attend is quite a bit higher though... |

I'm 34, and the youngest of the small group of guys I play with. I also play games with my son(7), nephew(12) and his friend(12). Although I must admit even offering to have painting workshops with them its still very hard to nail them down to actualy sit and paint!!! |

Well I'm 37, and my regular opponents are 36 and 49, although their are both much more experienced gamers than I. I was 30 when I discovered the pleasures of tiny lead men, so I'm making up for lost time. |

Arthur Hi Arthur, Yes, you are clearly too old to be playing with toy soldiers. You clearly should get rid of them and take up something much more adult and age-appropriate as a hobby. You may choose from many, including Golf, restoring classic cars, heavy drinking, frequenting strip clubs, going for brisk walks around the block, telling young people what things were like "back when I was a teenager", or being a fan of your local code of football. I'm in my mid-30's, and only a fan of a couple of the above "adult" hobbies. |
