Apologies if you have already seen these but I've just found a range of miniatures that is seemingly designed for the Lord of the Rings. Nicely captures the storybook style of the Hobbit in my opinion. http://www.sgmm.biz/Bloody-Day-28mm-Fantasy_c_23.html Alo, for those interested, some 10mm Easterlings to complement the Copplestones range: http://www.tajima1.co.uk/index.asp?pageid=362663 |

I have Elves from that range. I bought them from the USA direct from the company, who provided good service (quick postage and the cheapest shipping cost they could manage - great communication with them during the order process), but the models were poor when they arrived - lots of flash and great lumps of metal on cloaks, etc. Some models had air-holes in the cloaks (esp the unarmoured ones). I think it's old moulds to be honest. Anyway, I put them in the lead pile and there they have stayed. The armoured ones are the best and I may have a bash at painting those (dead easy with all that mail armour!) but I don't know if I can face the work to make the others useable... Shame as I think they'd look great for a more 'book-like' Thranduil's Battle of 5 Armies force. The rest of the range all look good in principle, but I'd be hesitant about ordering more to be honest... |

Do they scale well with the GW range? |

No, they are bigger and more chunky than most LOTR models by GW and they are a bit static in the poses. However, I don't dislike that, but against some of the more animated GW poses, they'd look a bit odd. |
