Anyone else seen a Trailer for LOTR LEGO?

I'm really looking forward to playing the game, but what do others think.

I will be buying this the day it comes out, i am sooooo excited.

When lego star wars 1 came out it really was the best game simply because it did soo much for the franchise that no other game, not even the battlefront series, could do for the franchise (although i am a huge lover of the battlefront series). Even when Lego Indiana Jones and harry potter cmae out, they stil did so much for their respective franchises.

That is why i think Lego Lord of the Rings will be the most amazing game because it will do everything for the franchise while still making it so fun to play and making it really funny for the fans. I honestly cannot wait another day.

I hadn't heard about this, but I just had to look it up.

It looks pretty cool, and I definitely want to get it. As was said, I think Lego did a great job with Star Wars - I don't even like Star Wars, but the Lego range of it is just too fun. As a fan of LotR (you probably guessed that 6 years ago) I can honestly say this looks awesome. :D

I think that lotr LEGO will be a good game to play because it adds fun to the game. When I played Star Wars I,II and III i loved a lot the jokes and humor they added to the game. I;ve seen the lotr LEGO trailer and it really had me laughing.

So in the end I really look forward to it :D

I find the lego games are more fun to see how they interpret/change stuff, and all the little inside jokes. The actual gameplay is okay, but it's the experiance that makes it.

Agreed. They really have a good mix of affectionate 'roasting' of the source material and some pretty clever puzzles and great graphics. I've had it preordered since announcement day. Can't wait!

There's a demo of the PC version of the game up on the LEGO site now. Well worth having a look at. The graphics ar excellent, and gameplay is first rate. Music is from Howard Shore's wonderful score. Seeing the minifigs saying lines from the film is a real buzz too.

The cutscenes are hilarious too, keep an eye out for the Peter Jackson mininfig cameo!

The demo is the Battle of Helms Deep. You will notice some gameplay ideas that were used in EAs movie based games (knocking down siege ladders) but there's lots of new wrinkles and puzzles to enjoy.

Its funny that those goblins look very similar to the LOTR goblins as well, just a different skin colour.

It's a brilliant game, I got 100% on it last night after playing non-stop for just under a week!

The free-roam is gorgeous (I highly recommend just walking from Mordor to the Shire and taking in the sometimes wacky, always wonderful scenery) and the music is the full movie score, which, as we all know, is EPIC. The lego charm is fresh and will make you laugh out loud numerous times and the characters all look brilliant.

Seriously guys, get this game, it's well worth the ride. I was gobsmacked by the depth and detail put into it!

EDIT: oh and keep an eye out for the mithril disco phial. You will LOVE it.
