I love giant elephants! hahaha Seriously, though, all the games are good with me. Can't say I have a specific preference. |

I don't often play LOTR games online as I feel it is very difficult to get a LOTR feel with them, but I think the closest thing I got to was the ROTK game which is still fun to play even though. |

Sticky Fingersss nailed it for me. I actually haven't played a LotR based video game. Ever. A big part of it is the fact that from what I understood from friends that are both LotR fans as well as computer gamers, they are generally your more traditional RTS game but with ME flavored units. But with little care about world continuity. I must admit that playing WotR has started to soften my tolerance for such things so I may give in some day, but I just haven't gotten there yet. A smaller part of it is that we don't have any Windows based computers. Win98 was the last version that came into my home and we've been a Linux only household for about 10 years. Most companies do little to port their games to Mac and nothing for Linux and I just don't support them. If I get demos or hand-downs of games that interest me I'll put in some effort and get them going under Wine, but it's been a very long time since I've had the free time to invest in a video game. It's usually weeks or months between "video game time" for me and then only for a few minutes to maybe an hour at a time , so I don't bother with anything more complex or engaging than a simple shooter or loading up old-school Command & Conquer or Warcraft for a quick mission. I hardly have enough time to paint or play SBG/WotR now, so anything electronic falls behind that. I have been following this thread though because I can pick up many of these games second hand now cheap and I really like knowing in advance which ones at least do a reasonable job of catching the flavor of the stories. |
