Hey everyone! I've always been an artist, for as long as I can remember I've been drawing or painting something. It's more paint now I think but half the time I don't even realize I'm doing something art related when in fact I'm doing it all the time! Did that make sense? :?
Here's some stuff I've done:
Image
This was done in acrylic.

Image Image
Both of these were done in something called Oil Stick. Its like a big fat crayon made of oil paint!

Image
This here's done in pastels- its like an oily chalk.

Image
Another acrylic. The car is a 1963 Corvett 8)

I'll show off some more at another time. In the mean time, what'd you think?

yep, the red car hits the eye at once, but also the decent gradients at the mountains are very well done!
what size/dimensions are those paintings?

Well the Corvette is 28x22 1/2" or 71x58cm and the mountains are 24x18" or 61x45cm.

The eye is 15x11 1/2" or 38x29cm
The field is 19x13" or 48x33cm
And the moon lit lake is 20x15" or 51x38cm

That would be cool! But what I meant to say was that I make custom paintings. People ask for something, I paint it (or draw it), they buy it. I'm trying to make a living out of being a painter, I sold a few but people don't really know I do this so its kind of hard to do.

Image
This one just recently sold on e-bay! Its abstract... crud! lol
Some kids I knew of from school got scholarships to art colleges for stuff not much better than this. So I figured if they can get away with it why can't I?

Image
This is my most recent. Another abstract but I like this one. I'll be going to auction on e-bay soon!

Image
This is a work in progress of an American singer named Kellie Pickler! I'm painting it for her... only she doesn't know it  I'm young and stupid, just let me be!

You certainly have artistic flair, but perhaps selling your paintings on eBay isn't the right way to go about it. I'm no expert, but there are surely sites for dedicated artists in which your paintings would probably sell for a lot more cash. Also, perhaps try to sell some at 'proper' auctions to get an idea of how much to be selling your paintings for (as opposed to eBay's sometimes unfortunate results in the end). Of course, your main business is painting for your customers so don't get sidetracked :) .

Makes sense to me!

I was just wondering if you painted figures (e.g. humans, animals etc.) for your clients...

Good luck with the venture![/quote]

As obvious as all that may seem, I never thought of that. Thats a good idea! Thanks!

I've only had a few people to paint for but I suppose yes, I could do people and animals. I'm working on a portrait right now. Its my first real portait to be done in paint. Its kind of slow comming but I'll be sure to show you how it turns out.

Thanks everyone!

The singers face is intimidating to me so I took a break on her.

Meanwhile I landed a job of sorts making children's paintings for a gently used kid stuff shop. I'm told the paintings just fly of the shelves and they need more/ new artists so I've answered the call of duty! Here's some balloons and a Teddy bear.

Sorry, for the dark pics
