Outside of LotR and The Hobbit I mainly paint some Doctor Who models for my brother but have also started some Discworld miniatures from Micro Art Studio.

Here are a few pictures of some of the Doctor Who miniatures;

Also, still a wip, the Davros I'm currently working on;

My intention on this model is to go for a brownish hue on the black jacket and a very shiny, almost pure black colour on the metallic lower part of the body with pure white highlights to contrast the metallic Dalek-like chair with the more humanoid form of his remaining upper body but I really don't think I've pulled off the colouring on the chair so may have to have a rethink (and definitely a tidying up if nothing else as I appear to have had shaky hands with the highlighting).

Lovely stuff. Who makes the figures?

The classic Doctors and villains I haven't pictured yet (and the Davros I have) are all from Black Tree Design while the newer Doctors, Master and companions in the first picture are all unofficial lookalikes from Heresy Miniatures in their Scientists and Civilians section.
The Tardis exterior and control panel are the Constabulary Communications Cabinet and Central Console from Ainsty Castings.

Recently it has been announced that Warlord Games have obtained a license to produce miniatures and a game based on the series, encompassing all classic and modern Who so I'm curious to see what they'll produce.

Thanks. I have a dalek (just one) from Black Tree Designs, but I was curious about these newer minis - they're very good (and well painted too).

Thanks Dagorlad, I'm quite pleased with most of them, still have a bit of work to do to improve my faces though. I have gotten a few more pictures of some of the older Doctors now;

Sixth Doctor;

Was really pleased with the coat on him, tried really hard to make it as accurate as possible and, in the end, only one panel was missed out, purely because I just could not fit in one more panel of black.

And finally, my completed Death as the Hogfather from Micro Art Studios Discworld miniatures;

The Hogfather looks very jolly... and other words ending in 'olly.'

The two Doctors are pretty nice figures - very 1980s style (which I like), as are much of the old Harelquin range that BTD produce. And I love the patchwork painting on the 6th Doctor's coat. Well done.

I will invest in some more of these Black Tree Design figures, but I'm still a bit wary of their customer service (or utter lack of it).

So, it's only been a year and a half but Davros has finally made it out of the drawer, back to the painting table and was finished at the weekend;

I've also started cleaning up this lot from Warlord Games and hope to get some paint on them in the near future;

Davros is looking good. I personally don't like the new Warlord miniatures (more collectables than miniatures) but I can't wait to see what you do with them.

Cheers Crucium.
I agree with you about them being more collector's pieces. They've said they were (probably correctly) likely to appeal to collectors so have attempted to cater for them as well as gamers. At least this means there's not much tidying up to do on them.
I haven't got any of the monster sets yet but from the pictures they look to be better minis than the characters released so far.
