Picked up this Heroclix Batman model and have mounted him to a 40mm base. Trying to get a nice movie Batman look to him going. Lot of work to do, but let me know what you guys think so far. |

Looks like I got him finished off before anyone commented. Felt pretty good to get something done. |

Very cool. Much better than the retro look, which always reminds me of Only Fools and Horses. |

Thanks guys! The photo doesn't seem to catch alot of the shading, but it looks pretty good here. Thank you for the encouragement!! |

Looks good Dave, I would up the highlights on the face some more though as at the moment I think it is a little too dark. |

Thanks guys for the comments! Here is Heath Ledger as the Joker...still have alot to do on the face...was slapping some color on there so I can get a pretty good feel for the conversion work I attempted. I think I want to go for the smudged painted face look like this...looks even creepier than his normal makeup. Original model I'll post updates as I can...back spasms have been pretty bad lately. |

Nicely done on the Batman, sorry I didn´t see this thread before. I do think though that he is a little dark... maybe highlight the black? Can´t wait to see the finished Joker! |

No I don't think you should. Black is an easy colour to turn grey if your not careful. Good job by the way, jokers face looks good, but the texture seems rough... is that the surface of the figure or is it how you want it to look? |

It's just a rough paint job...lots of dry brushing and washing on the colors in thin bits...far from complete, it was just done to give me an idea of where I should paint. The finished Joker will be far more impressive that that attempt. Thanks for the comments guys! |

Great job turning Batman into the Dark Knight, he looks a lot more imposing. I like the idea of mounting these figures on GW bases and re-painting them, the Joker model looks really nice, good start to the facepaint. Hope your mojo is here to stay now that you've found it |

A novel idea, BotWT! But please, do not try to include a Robin Reliant as the Batmobile.... we would never forgive you! Actually, as a complete non-sequetur, I spotted a man who looks amazingly like Terry Pratchett driving around Derry over the weekend in a red Robin Reliant. It is weird when you spot someone's double! |

Hehe...no, no Robin Reliant, in fact no Robin whatsoever. I was happy when the Joker blew him up. This Robin Reliant is one ugly car...how the hell do you not scrape the hell out of the front end when running from the cops....errr, I mean just going around a corner too quickly? Well, here is the latest on Joker...5 minutes here, 4 minutes there... Still some work to do on his face...looks better in real life until you get that closeup and then you see more mistakes. |

Hey Dave you got your mojo back! You might want to avoid drybrushing on the jokers face its bringing out too much texture. Black lining might work better for you. |

How small do you have to be to even fit in there? |
