Lol, what's that called? A Ornithomessercheiroideaschmitt-Rex ?
Nice one Alan :)

So, in the end, what will the theme actually be for the game?
I imagined something in the spere of a Mordheim-game... but seeing this little bird changed my mind a bit...

Or will it be something like complete kinda 'non-sense' board?

:-D love it though :)

The game will be a simple skirmish game with squads of up to 15 men, vehicles and, obviously, some dinosaurs. The game will be 'serious', but with some fun elements to it - not the Monty Python-esque silliness that was Pax Limpopo.

I just painted this figure up for 'promotional' purposes - it identifies the idea behind the game straight away and gets people responding. I doubt that we'd actually see a squad of these figures painted like that in the game. I'd hate to be the man whose job it was to paint the crosses on their wings.

The castle is on hold during the month of August, while I work on smaller pieces (just for a bit of variety).

Part of the game scenario is set around the German training brigade's barracks - to represent this, I am building a farmhouse that the Germans have commandeered. It's still very much a WIP, but here are a couple of shots of it as it stands at the moment.

You certainly have good terrain-making skills Alan. The painting on those stones is also very realistic. Can't wait to see them done 8)

Wonderful work, Alan. I love the roof tiles, they're very nice. As Patrick said, the stonework is very realistic. The little chimney is also a nice touch. 8)

Oops, forgot the third picture:

Again clicking the image will biggify it. Sorry the images are a bit over-exposed - I took them at 11:00pm last night with the flash on.

It still looks lovely
Might I ask where you got, or how you made the roof tiles?

Wonderful, Alan. :yay:
I'd also like to know how you made the roof. :)

Wonderfull again Alan!
The natural stoneworks are magistral as usual!
But I really love your attention to the detail of the roof! I noticed you started painting some variations in those tiles! Wonderfull attention to that mate! It's those small things that will make it look so much better then anything the regular to even more professional hobbyists can ever do!
8)

I hate to point this out but there is fossil evidence that many dinosaurs had feathers... including those that took to the skies. Oops...

The construction, attention to detail and realism (salt damp!) are second to none.

Very nice, Alan. A splendid roof, for the farmhouse. :)

For some reason, when I see the lovely little farm house, I start to think of All Creatures Great and Small, it has a very rustic feel to it.
