Hi there,

I'm soon going to try out the game for my first time.
I only want to use painted models so I decided to sum up what I've got and see if I can get a decent list out of it.
I heard that elves are quite expensive, but I don't have much of a choice at this point.

I was wondering if anyone here could give me some advice on what to take.

Here's a list of the painted models I've got:

Eregion/Rivendell:
- 4x Elf with bow
- 2x Elf with sword
- 8x Elf with spear/shield
- 2x Knight of Rivendell with shield
- 1x Glorfindel armored on horse
- 1x Glorfindel armored on foot
- 1x Elrond armored
- 1x Elrond (hobbit) unarmored
- 1x Arwen
- 1x Cirdan
- 1x Erestor
- 1x Captain with Shield

Arnor:
- 3x Warrior of Arnor
- 1x Malbeth the Seer

Sons of Durin:
- 1x Vault Warden Team
- 6x Khazad Guard
- 1x Gimli
- 1x Dwarf Captain with shield

Iron Hills:
- 1x Dain on foot
- 1x Dwalin, Champion of Erebor
- 1x Thorin, Champion of Erebor

Extra:
- 1x Gandalf the White on foot

Not really sure if that'll be a smart thing to go for, but I'm not really in a situation where I have many options.^^

I came up with a 350p list that looks like this:
Warband 1:
Arwen
4 elves with bow
8 elves with spear and shield

Warband 2:
Gimli
6 Khazad Guards

Not sure if this is a good list to go with if you look at what's available.

Ah, I didn't notice the Elven Warriors. I'd say swap Arwen for Erestor, adjust for the points and then you might be okay. I prefer horde armies for low pts games personally.

I think the list is fine with Arwen really. Her magic and the two extra elves will be worth more than Erestor's fighting prowess with Gimli and the dwarves already it tow.

Agree with Wan Shi Tong - I think with that force, Arwen makes it a bit more versatile than Erestor.

If you're looking for what to paint next, maybe paint up a few more Warriors of Arnor, and maybe a few Rangers of Arnor, for a fun Eregion / Arnor allied force.

I already thought it might be wise to expand my Arnor force a bit.
I've got a complete Arnor collection (unpainted) with the exception of Grey's Company. I guess I'll paint a few more warriors and rangers, rangers of the north or dunedain.
I feel like Malbeth is a great character to add to the force, but Halbarad would also be cool to include... But for now core troops should be my main priority I guess.
