Post subject: | 600 pt Angmar/Mordor Force |
Hello friends. First time posting on the threads here, as I've spent the past two months scouring the threads to absorb as much as I could I am currently working on an Angmar force with a splash of Mordor. A few things first: The Witch King is a non negotiable for me. He has been my favorite character/model for a long time, so ideally I'd prefer him to stay. Also, I know many people think of and use the Shade when it comes to Angmar. Personally, while his special rule is fantastic, I just don't feel that compelled to sink so many points into him. It's just not my preferred play style, and I find his rule kinda bogus. Just my two cents anyway. So here it goes. Warband 1: 213 pts Witch King (Leader) 2/14/2 w/horse 4 Orc Warrior w/shield 4 Orc Warrior w/spear 3 Orc Trackers 1 Orc w/ Banner Warband 2: 178 pts Buhrdur 4 Orc Warrior w/shield 4 Orc Warrior w/spear 4 Orc Trackers Warband 3: 120 pts Orc Shaman 4 Orc Warrior w/shield 4 Orc Warrior w/spear 2 Orc Warrior w/ 2-handed weapon 2 Orc Trackers Warband 4/Ally - 90pts Shelob Total: 601 pts, 6 Might, 40 Models. Again, I love the WK and tried to fit him into the army as a dedicated caster, while using my beloved Shelob/Buhrdur to do the dirty work. Shelob + WK should be able to answer most big heroes, while Buhrdur can help with that as well, or smash troops. Orc are useless as we know, but between the numbers and the Shaman to keep them around, I think it should be alright. I know it may be lacking in Might compared to other lists as well. All thoughts/critiques/suggestions are most welcome. Thanks folks! |
