Ent Army -700 points

I've been throwing around the idea of getting something reasonably fluffy and small painted up for my first GBHL tournament, and am considering picking up an Ent force for fun. I was thinking:-

Treebeard
Tom Bombadil
2 Ents

take me up to 590 points. That still leaves me an annoying 110 points (a few more, and I'd grab another Ent). I could chuck in Boromir or something, but I'd rather spend it on something more fluff based. Any thoughts? My current inclination is to knock up some Huorns to count as Woses Warriors.

Well......if youre playing with friends I guess use Tom....but otherwise Id take him out completely. Hes kind of a silly broken model.

With him out Id do this:

Treebeard
3 Ents
Gwahir

I think that would be my suggestion...

To answer your original question with those left over points....one eagle or you could put in Legolas on a horse. I think a wood Elf would be better than Boromir.

Or how about this insane list:

Beorn
Treebeard
2 Ents

4 models, BEORN, and Treebeard haha. That leaves you with 10 points to spare.

When you say he's broken, do you mean he's cheesy, or useless? I just looked at it, thought he would be a laugh, fitted thematically with woodland creatures, and he'd synergise nicely with Treebeard (one free point of might a turn effectively).

Well yeah he works and themed but its just one of those models that to me affects the game in such a weird way that to me it takes pace and fun away idk.

I honestly dont think of Tom as broken. He can easily be neutralized with 3-4 models that surround him. Tom would only be able to bump them back about 1" and then they just re-surround him. Even if you dont do that, you should easily be able to surround and kill an Ent and deal 3 wounds to it, especially when you have only 4 models in your army.

Therefore, in my opinion, you should take Tom Bombadil out of your list. I think he weakens it. If you took him out, then you could take 4 Ents with Treebeard.
