750pts Rohan Competitive.

This is for my friend. A 750 point list which will work for competitions, preferably no out of date models. Thanks!

Why don't you go to the beginners section and start a topic asking for help starting a Rohan army? Then you can just read the responses to your friend. You'll learn a good deal more than trying to go right to an army list.

If I would start a 750pts rohan army list. It would look something like this: do note that I play all cavalry only with Rohan because thats the way I think you should play them for the theme.

Warband 1
Erkenbrand+ horse (this guy's warhorn and upgrade makes him a must for every Rohan army!!!)
2 sons of eorl
2 royal guards mounted + throwing spears
8 west fold redshields

Warband 2
Eomer, knight of the Pellenor (just proxy him with the current Eomer model)
2 sons of eorl
2 royal guards mounted+ throwing spears
7 westfold redshields
1 rider of rohan+ banner

Warband 3

Eowyn + armour + shield + horse
3 rohan outriders mounted
3 westfold redshields

your model count maybe low but whilst erkenbrand lives your courage is 5. Your really really fast you have got lots of bows. Agianst infranty you are a true killer. Use your sons of eorl to kill wraiths and stuff like that.

And my biggest advice: use your might to move first!!!

And I've tried this list a couple of times it is is prety good

Keep Erkenbrand's Warband. Drop Eowyn's and swith Eomer Knight of the pelennor with Eomer with horse and shield. Drop two Redshields from his warband and you got 498 pts
