Post subject:  Greetings!

Good day to the dwellers of this forum! I'm zirrian, and I think some of you might know me from other forums (Benno's, HaT's, The Round Table, and so forth). Lately a friend convinced me to try WotR, as I could get some LotR minis for a rather decent price. And I think I like this game a lot. So I've started painting, grabbing good deals, and now I'm sitting on a decent amount of minis with more to come, so yay for online trading. I'm a resident of Hungary, by the way.
Right now I don't have any specific army in mind to build. I have a bunch of Rohirrim, riders and infantry alike, but no special troops I find the metals/finecasts really expensive to build a unit in WotR, so my LotR career's start will mark my converting-with-putty career's start too. I'll snap some pics of my painted minis, make a WIP thread, and will see what happens...

Thanks for reading, I'm glad to be here.

Welcome ! I Look forward to bee seeing some converted elites :-)

I would also highly recommend that you give the smaller scale SBG game a change, you need half or even les models, and for me is more than double the fun.

I look forward to them too - I haven't touched green stuff with any remarkable outcome so far, but I wonder what I can do with the right tools.

SBG is planned, tho I have to get the books first...I'll get the War of the Ring rulebook soon (made a neat deal for loads of minis and three books) as well as the hardcover Hobbit book, but I plan to get the SBG core rules for the "original trilogy". I think it's a really good thing that GW designed the two rule sets in such way that they can be used with the same minis and same base types.
