I just spent an enjoyable 90 minutes chatting with King Theoden himself, Bernard Hill at Southampton Archives. We were discussing my Titanic ancestor as Bernard is presenting a short 30 minute documentary on the subject for the BBC. (Remember he also played Captain Smith in James Camerons Titanic in 1997). In between takes I took the opportunity to talk Lord of the Rings, and also the 3D version of Titanic being released in April. He still has the Theoden goatee beard, so it was a bit surreal telling my tale to the King of Rohan! I'm sure when all is said and done my input will be cut down to about a minute of screen time, but I have the memory of it always.

Good Times! :D

Please do, I shall be watching. Sounds very interesting.

As for talking to King Theoden himself, sounds great. It'd be great to meet and have a good chat with an accomplished actor such as himself and even more so with an actor from the LotR series.

I took a pack of the new finecast model of Theoden to show him. He said he still had a couple of the metal ones he was given when they first came out. He also has a large figure of Theoden about 24 inches tall.

Sorry to dissapoint you boys but thats not the one I did. Seems Bernard did more than one documentary. Mine was called 'Titanic, Southampton Remembers' and the youtube link I posted above is probably the best bet to view it provided your pc has speakers of course.
