Post subject:  Hello from Langley BC Canada

I'm new here. I've been going through the website for ideas for a couple weeks. I finally got a game in and I had a few questions that were not satisfied so I posted them here.

My army so far for WoTR

24 Dwarf Warriors
24 Dwarf Rangers
Fellowship of the Ring

20 Easterlings
10 Dundlend Huskarls
Gorbag and Shagrat

Terrain

I found those Harad papercraft buildings and some other papercraft online. I work at a builder's material/lumber yard so I get all the damaged drywall/poly insulation/broken slabs in the world so thinking of ideas for using that stuff and keeping money freed up.

Anyways a big hello from Sly! (Any other Sly's here?)

ah welcome Sly, I hope you enjoy your time here with us at the One-Ring. Are you new to the hobby? I'm sure you'll get plenty of help from members around the site, but to be honest I know little about WoTR. I've always fancied playing it tho. I hope to see you around on the forums & feel free to post some pictures of your men/dwarfs & terrain.

Once again a Warm Welcome

Thanks Drum. I am new to the whole miniature hobby but always been a LoTR fan, Roleplayed and Game Mastered MERP back in the day. I used to work at a wood re-manufacture so I have some ideas on constructing things. Not so much in the decorating department, art class was ages ago.

I'm planning on constructing the hill leading to the Golden Hall in Edoras for an assault scenario and Balin's tomb later on. For now some 2x2 drywall generic grassland.

Welcome Slythar, another Canadian :) Hope you enjoy the game. I don't play WOTR myself, just SBG.

You might want to post your WOTR question in the WOTR forum, and the terrain questions in the Terrain forum, they might get lost here.

Cheers,

Sweet name! :-D

Anyways, welcome to the OR... Your job will indeed be very useful in this hobby, as terrain is basically polystyrene and wood with a little paint slapped onto it :P

Looking forward to those projects you mentioned 8)
