Hi there! I'm relatively new to the game and I've started playing with some of my buddies since I live in the-middle-of-nowhere Iowa. My friends are fielding Minus Morgul and Harad armies, including Mumakil. I have a Dol Amroth/Fiefdoms army, Imrahil, Mounted and foot knights, men at arms, blackroot vale archers, and Duinhir. Any suggestions?

I recommend you put the blackroot vale archers away and never use them. The Knights and men-at-arms are more than fine however.

Will do! Should I ally rangers then?

Yes, Rangers would be a much better choice for archery. One of the best in the game. Try not move any of them though.

Alright, thanks! Any idea of how to kill a Mumakil with them? And I must say this is quite a friendly community!

if the Rangers you've taken are Grey Company, you should have enough to cause some damage to the beast, whicj could send it on a rampage, however, your major killing should come from combat. A powerful, huih courage hero and high courage bodyguards could help you.

However, sometomes, you won't need to kill it at all, just work around it. Don't try feeding it one troop at a time though if your playing with the hobbit rules, as it can easily cause more damage.

Might I ask what the grey company is? I can't find it in the one rulebook to rule them all.

The OR is replaced by the Hobbit book. but Grey Company are not In OR or Hobbit, as Hobbit has no LotR profiles.

if you buy the "Kingdoms of Men" sourcebook, you will find the 'Arnor' llist. If you take only certain troops,, ie you have 1 Ranger in the North or Dunedain for every 4 Rangers of Arnor, thusm granting you a 100% bow limit, rather than 33%, you have a Grey Company army.

Don't be too afraid of using the Blackroot vale archers, monsters received a huge boost in the hobbit rules, and the Blackroot vale archers seem perfect for taking them out
