I personally would not use them for aesthetic reasons. I'd prefer something like this https://www.grippingbeast.co.uk/GBP09_Late_Roman_Infantry--product--5328.html or this https://wargamesatlantic.com/collections/decline-and-fall/products/late-roman-legionaries-1-lorica-hamata or something more strictly Norman looking myself. But they are about the same size as GW's stuff, being a bit on the larger side, so they should work as a practical manner. If the crusaders catch your eye as Gondorians, then go for it!

I don't really worry if they match LOTR GW miniatures, as I don't really use them. There is only 1 shop in the whole of South Africa that sells them, and then they have to be ordered from England, which takes about 2 months. Victrix have Norman Infantry 60 to a pack for £42 or so. I have not seen them so cannot say how they match for size but see below.
