Hi guys, I just bought a fell beast model. As I was priming it, attempting to remove the masking tape that I had used to cover the see-through plastic stem that connects the model to the base, I applied a bit too much pressure, and it snapped just below the model. It will not glue back together due to the difference in weight that each side holds. Does anyone have any way to fix this? So far, one of the only plans of action I have been given has been to use a 1/16 inch drill bit to drill another hole where the stem goes, and glue the stem into the newly formed hole.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Re drilling is the correct approach. The plastic stands are always a problem.

Thank you for your feedback, my only concern is the risk. How likely is it that re-drilling that hole would crack the model?

Use sharp tools and take care it should not be a problem

It worked like a charm, and we have a backup plan in place in case it breaks again. Thanks for the input!

Would the same technique work for a metal Great Eagle? That is, re drilling?
