Hey folks

i'm searching for some alternate miniatures for black numenoreans. i dont like the original models, because they are no true 28mm scale and to big. anyone a idea?

This is a tricky question to answer. Do you want your Black Numenorians to appear similar to what GW depicted as a black numenorian or are you looking for something completely different?

Personally, I would go for Gripping Beasts Rus or Viking line, and paint them in a dark color scheme. I imagine the Black Numenorians appeared more like Vandals from the dark ages than anything else. However, a quick google search for Vandals revealed a whole lot of nothing. The next best thing would be to paint up either some vikings or some other dark age era minis in a dark color scheme and call them Vandals ... I mean black numenorians.

Another option would be to make something new and unique. Maybe some plastic numenorians with helmeted uruk heads, and orc arms.

Get normal numanoreans replace their weapons and scratch of their emblems with a knife and paint on other emblems to show their different allegiance, maybe change the heads if you want them more evil and worn. If you're any good at modeling you could replace their capes with furs or something.

Reaper is great. Just be mindful that they are made on a scale which is larger than sbg. Not a lot bigger, but noticeably so.

One trick I use to compensate for the slight size difference is to mount the reaper minis on flat bases.

I personally use the Men of the Dead, painted to look decrepit but alive. They have a similar aesthetic to the Morgul Knights (notice that under the face plates they have withered skull like faces).
