In the process of painting Suladan and his headgear (helmet?) is a crocodile head. Trying to decide if I want to go as GW has it with gold or go with a green. Question is, what green? Subtle or emeraldish?

Anyone have any good green colors?

I followed the Warhammer TV guide for the giant turtle (the same one mentioned in my letter) and painted a cobra this spring. It looks pretty good.

Depends: Crocodile or Alligator? Then look up the picture, and paint that. I say get the right type so your shading is easier to do.
I would go orc skin green. Is that a official colour? I have no idea. I call my paints what I think they are. My raw umber is called leather, my light brown spear handle, etc. So my gross looking green is orc skin.
