Nail varnish remover, fill a container with it and let the trolls soak for a couple of hours/overnight :)

Eeew that is ugly.
Isn't nail varnish remover to aggressive for plastic miniatures?
I always use Dettol.

Yeah, it'll dissolve plastic miniatures but that troll is metal so it'll work fine. Added bonus, it will strip the paint off, too. Let it soak then hold it under a tap and give it a good brush with an old toothbrush.

My mistake. I didn't pay much attention. I thougt it was the plastic troll.
Good luck with it.

hi,
its been awhile since I was able to get to the trolls but the nail polish remover worked perfect, I used non-acetone and the green stuff peeled right off, thanks for the help

This is news to me. Good to know, I have some crummy second hand Uruk-hai berserkers modified with green stuff to look like feral uruk-hai complete with crappy paint job.

make sure to use non-acetone nail polish remover, I once soaked a metal figure in acetone nail polish remover but the plastic base was still attached and it made a horrible mess, i'm not 100% sure but I would imagine acetone would have the same effect on green stuff.
