Hi all  I've the old Heroes of the West box set, and I'm thinking of painting them up soon for a display piece I'm wondering what ideas you people here would have on the bases? I was thinking of painting the sand a kind of deserty colour, and adding some long grass and GW tufts, either Mordheim or Middenland, I don't know which colour would be better. Any help?Thanks

I would reccommend a light brown with a sprinkling of grey stones (GW's basing slate is useful) and dead grass (yellow).

Maybe use a grey brown for the sand and a mixture of dead and green grass for clumps on top. |
