I've enjoyed looking through this thread at all the different elves. Your army is looking great Feanor and I really like that gold colour you've achieved on your Galadhrim CreatureFear. Great job everyone, very inspiring. Makes me want to stop my Gondor and start my Elves.

@ Sacrilege: I've never seen an elven army painted that way before. But, you know what? I really like it. It's good to make the army your own rather than the exact same as you'll see in a GW catalogue. :yay:

Thanks for the remark. I like following the movies usually, it's not too often I stray from it but this is the rare time I did. I see others on here as well that make up their own themes and it's always interesting to see something different from the usual film take.

And now for a bump to the top of the page:
I finally got some pix of my elves. Not all of them, but I did work our shots of some of my favorites. You'll probably notice that all but one of them are conversions, & the last is eBob's brilliant work.

First and foremost has to be the White Lady. Sorry the picture isn't better - I'm still figuring out how to get the best results from my new camera.

I loved the picture of the captain in the One Book that I just had to have one!

Yes, that's an orc head. If I ever get that Last Alliance supplement finished (unlikely at this point), he's the orc who fights for good at the Battle of Dagorlad, satisfying Tolkein's statement that everyone but the elves were represented on both sides.

This is a great thread Feanorthenoldor for people who want to look at a specific race and any different painting schemes from those from the movies and GW.

I have always loved the elves especially the Galadhrim, I have 70+ elves and I have experimented with the color schemes for a long time now, I tend to stick to the movies( only deviation being orcs :twisted:

) but I am soon going to have my own posts of my awesome elves( not just bragging they are seriously good!)
Watch this page, some new posts soon! I only joined June 11 2011 but i have followed the site for ages! post to follow soon if I get a hang of my camera!

Here's the Last Alliance High Elves. I wanted to keep with the blue theme but add my own touch, hence the Skull White over the Shadow Grey basecoat.

This is my attempt for an Elf Captain. I might convert all of them like this though. I recently have been inspired to do some conversions to some of the elven archers.

These are the archers of course.

And here's the Elven Banner Bearer from the Heroes of Helm's Deep Set.

And Haldir from the same set.

And this is a test model for my Wood Elves. What do you guys think? I'll try to post a brighter picture if I can.

I plan to make 4 companies of Galadhrim infantry, 2 Archer companies and 3 companies of knights as well as 6 companies of wood elf infantry and 3 archer companies. Then I plan to also have 2 companies of gaurdians of caras galadhon. My leader of the army of lothlorien will be galadriel protectress of lothlorien! :roll:

Alot of painting to do still... Hope to post pics soon!
