The minis listed are OOP but not limited!

This looks like an homemade conversion? No, this is the limited US resin-release of the dead mumak i mentioned above!

Yeah we are but this thread seems to have turned into a thread for anything not for sale on the GW site anymore. Thanks for posting that, I remember the fallen mumak.

Surely anyone could create a mold from plastic goblins to create those metal ones (albeit illegal). What would be the point though? They are all the same poses are they not?

Thats the point! They are different to the plastic poses. Take a look at the faces. No one of the plastic minis has a such detailed face. This minis was produced as an example for NLP before getting the licence for the Skirmish. Thats the reason why only this first minis (goblins & elves -> first box) had an metal-clone. This minis are in fact original GW minis and no illegal dupplication!

Well original metals they may be, but I still argue that the poses are no different to the plastic ones I am looking at in my hand. If I recall, there was an issue with different plastics being used. I have some both from soft plastic (light grey) where the details are quite soft and undefined, and the newer dark grey plastic which is much more rigid and the details are crystal clear to the point where I can see no difference when comparing them to the metals with my aging eyes.

Hi!

No, I only collect the "new" Miniature Range, as I don't like the design of the 80s miniatures.

As the minis where only for promotion and not for release only a few know about the existence. I also don't have them in my collection. I had the chance to buy them, but the price was much to high. The photos shown, are from the seller. He has got the minis directly from GW HQ years ago.

Also not common but more known is the Blarog with metal wings. There exists a small number of Khazad Dum-Boxes witch includes the Blarog with metal wings instead of plastic wings. As there where problems in construction they have been replaced with the actual plastic wings!

This was about 1,5 years ago. I only know that he has sold his "common" minis (~6000!) via ebay. As he had offerd the rare minis to several die hard collectors, so I don't belive that this minis are still for sale.

The dead Mumak was on eBay about 6 months ago. If memory serves it went for a fairly reasonable price too.

The dead mumak will come up time to time. Its not unheard of rare as every shop had a few of them.

The falling mumak is not a GW model.

I think the falling mumak is a sideshow weta collectable so no not GW but the fallen mumak was a limited resin release in the U.S only I think
