Hey guys, WOTR has werewolf rules but what about SBG? Not sure if it does. Is it possible to make some SBG rules for them just by looking at the WOTR rules? Like, if we see the difference between wild wargs in WOTR and SBG we may be able to fill the gaps and make some werewolf rules. |

It's possible. I like the idea. I will see what I can do and post this week. My Moria can use some flavor. |

Cool! I plan on sculpting some werewolves so it would be nice to be able to play them. |

Did someone mention werewolves? There are 2 options I see regarding SBG Werewolves. The first is to look at their pts in LoME and work out a profile e.g.: Werewolf (Spirit, Monster) 50pts Move F S D A W C 8" 6/4+ 5 5 3 2 5 Special Rules: Terror Or the second option is to use them as a current profile, depending on base size, it could be: Cave Troll, Dweller in the Dark, Warg Chieftain etc |

I only know that they shouldn't be monsters, because tolkien werewolves are stronger wolves. |

Some of them e.g. Carcaroth seem monster-sized and definitely not just big wolves. |

I think he should be monstrous cavalry. Him using hurl seems stupid. |

Those stats seem pretty awesome, but it would be good if they had lower stats just so you can actually play a decent number of them without them being swamped by warriors. |

I would have made them a fair bit like fast half-trolls. That seems like reasonable stats. E.g. 25 points. F 5 S 5 D 5 A 2 W 2 C 4 M 8" Rules: Terror Jaws of Thirst: Werewolves knock down on the charge. |

When you say knock down on the charge, you mean if they win the combat right? |

Yep that's what I mean. P.S. You might want to increase the points a bit or take down the defense from that profile. I'm not sure if they are a bit overpowered currently. |

Removing the Half-Troll's one weakness (courage), effectivley makes it a mid-level hero without M,W,F. With the knock-down I'd say 33 is fair. They pay +2 for each courage increase, -2 for defence and 5/6~ points for knockdown. |

hmm Would jaws of thirst be able to be countered by a cavalry charge or visa versa? Also I assume that they would not get the extra attack during the fight. Just double strikes (4) when they knock down. |

Firstly, Werewolves are way too awesome to be represented by such a weak profile - they must have 3 Attacks! (or, yours is fine ) Secondly (and more importantly), Jaws of Thirst is a silly name for a rule to do with legs not teeth, jaws of Thirst sounds like a rule where they must always charge an enemy when possible (because they are hungry), being hungry wouldn't make them more powerful on the charge, just more eager to get to the fight (so they can eat you), a better name would be something like "Pounce" or "Leap" or if you want to be cheesy - which I think you do - "Pounce of Death" or "Leap of Thunder" |

How many points would Vandalcabbage's werewolf profile be worth if they had 3 attacks? 33 plus ...? |

About the name Jaws of Thirst it just means they are eager to get into battle ergo knockdown and is a reference to Carcaroth, one of whom's titles is the Jaws of Thirst I believe. I made them two attacks because he wanted to take several of them, which can only happen if they are two attacks otherwise the points costs goes up too much. I was aiming for a giant spider type deal. Plus I need a werewolf house profile for when I try to do house profiles from everyone in the silmarillion. |

It's just that i have never liked the idea of something like that throwing someone with their mouth as precise and deadly. Maybe it would work if it is a special hurl which is like if you would use a catapult. |

To be fair, I hardly think what the trolls do is very precise either. |
