Does anyone ever play SBG on Vassal? I've played a ton of 40k on there and think SBG would work really well on it. |

60% of the experience for me is the plastic and terrain on the board. If you removed that, I might as well play a video game! It's not for me, and I never could get vassal to work anyway. VG |

For the record I have never played Vassal but have just had a look and it looks great for testing 40k. I think it would be positive for LOTR/Hobbit SBG community. The main problems I see: - Vassal looks very complex and not easy for a beginner to pick up - As far as I know there isn't any LOTR content. It would require someone to create/proxy an entire game. - I have no idea if the rules are compatible to the software - Licensing issues as you said If someone was to make it I would play but it seems highly unlikely. So unless you have somebody to create the LOTR content it's a no go |
