As the tittle suggest what are your thoughts on the last alliance as an army also on Gil-Galad? The reason is because im thinking about starting an army with them so i would like to hear what you think.

firstly they were the strongest force ever assembled in middle-earth and hosts the greatest heroes of the three main races of middle-earth (elves, dwarves and men) in the form of gil-galad, elendil and durin IV. and in the gaming terms can be an unstopable force with very high defence, however they will be out-numbered almost all the time as high elves, dwarves and numenoreans are generally higher point costs than other standard troops available to armies, but besides this they will last longer and do more damage than most other armies.

There are far more Lords and such than those, but irrelevant to my point. Last Alliance are certainly no uber-army in gaming terms, yes both elves and dwarves are good, but mixing 2 or 3 armies together randomly doesn't help, you need a clear army in mind, made of interlocking parts which work well together, not somwe mishmash, and the Numenorean army is not exactly the strongest army around. You may have fun with Last Alliance, but if you plan on winning, you may need to think more precisely about how your army works and how to use it. And don't give out pts values.

Use Elrond and Gil-galad to lead your High Elves, use Durin to lead a warband of Khazad Guards and use Elendil to lead a warband of Numenoreans. The Numenoreans are there only to give some more numbers and to give Elendil someone to lead. It would be an extremely expensive army, but a very powerful one. Use Gil-galad in tandem with Elendil. Gil-galad kills the thing you're fighting while Elendil calls a heroic fight. That should give around 2-3 dead guys a turn, more if you get them into fights with multiple opponents which would increase the number by quite a bit.

I was thinking about doing this because I'm getting Elrond and Gil-gald tomorrow along with two sets of. 24 pack of warriors of last alliance and I also have ordered Elendil

Like they have said, it is quite expensive, but well themed and has the capacity to inflict a horrendous amount of damage on the enemy in a very short period of time. Or die spectacularly.

You would need something to make magic less of an issue- I know that Elendil and Gil-galad are very resilient in this fashion, but a battery (2+) of Nazgul is going to stop you cold pretty quickly, then it's your warriors against your opponent's- and by that point they will most likely outnumber you.

Gil-galad and Elendil should start their turn by attacking the same model, then splitting up to grab more warriors or such- ideally you could pull somewhere around 4-5 enemies a turn with the two of them, or down the large monsters swiftly. Or, rather, the enemy's expensive models.
