Hello fellow One Ringers, Basically I'm in the mood for a good, long, detailed paint and I'm sorry if this has been done before which is pretty likely but..... Just wondered which LOTR minature (preferably a hero) has been your favorite to paint ?to give me some inspiration as to which mini to buy and then paint to fulfill my painting craving, would also be generally very interesting to see too. I think mine would probably be Glorfindel in armour due to the very dynamic pose and different textures of the mini that needed to be painted e.g. cloak, armour, skirt, material waist belt thing also Gimli from breaking of the fellowship box set due to the huge amounts of detail and character in the figure. So What about you then???? Legolas31 |

I remember enjoying painting Wraiths and Castellans, because they are easy to make look good, even if you suck XD But anyway: I have loved painting all my Rohan models, especially Grimbold! |

Really, I've enjoyed most of the Good heroes. The Evil Heroes can be hit-or-miss. One of the most enjoyable that I have done is Gandalf the Grey on his horse. |

Mine would be either Theoden, or Thranduil. They're both painted to a standard that I couldn't reach with the first minis I painted, and the models themselves look awesome. |

Saruman the Wise, for me. But then, the only other heroes I painted are the MoM Fellowship and Grima (and some Uruk heroes converted over from Warriors and Scouts) |
