Horde = tonnes of Orc Warriors Hard-hitting = trolls, Mordor Uruk-hai, Black Guards, Morannon Orcs, etc. Discuss |

Well i would say Horde because i think that is what a Mordor Army should be, howevr their must also be a good mix of cavalry and elites. The problem with too many elites aka trolls is that they can be killed by just one unlucky dice roll (or 3 in the troll's case), and then you have lost potentialy a large amount of points, also your breaking point is sooner and with more points spent on elites there is less to spend on heroes to help your force stay in the game. |

Yeah, that's the main reason why I'm still trying to make up my mind... |

I'd have to say horde. If you're not out numbering your opponent then your not playing the spirit off or to the strength of a Mordor army. Rob |

I'm inclined to agree that horde is the way to go. I'm thinking of starting a Mordor force myself and for me I like the aesthetic of the massed ranks of orcs. |

75% horde, 25% hard hitting Nothing is more frightning than a huge horde of Orcs coming at you, backed up by some towering trolls and strongers uruks. |

Nothing is more frightning than a huge horde of Orcs coming at you, backed up by some towering trolls and strongers uruks. I tend to agree with this. I love putting in cool, hard-hitting stuff, but eventually that leads away from the horde. That is one of the reasons I like to use regular Mordor Orcs rather than the popular Morannon variety (plus, the Morannon Orcs don't feel right to me at all). |
