I was curious to know just how far you all have progressed in the hobby, so I decided to start this off with one of my very first models along with the one of the last Gondor models I painted to see the improvement I have made over the last 4 years.

Fountain Guard from late 2008 and a Fountain Guard from December of 2004

Don't be shy, post some of your early work! :)

If the first mini I painted was a goblin, do I have to paint one now or can I post something else? If not, I'll post a pic when I've found the goblin and finished Eorl.

Jeez Dave, that's some question.

I'll have a check next time I'm down at the old man's ans see if I can dig out a 19 year old Heroquest model that's been primed with Tipex...

I think even in five months of collecting Isengard I have improved in several areas. If I get a chance I will try to dig out one of my old Warhammer models. I can definitely say I have come a long way since the very first Lizardman model I painted in the late 90s.

My two best in 2009:

Bear in mind that there was a gap in between which lasted around three years.

Here are my first ones from the FotR box, late 2001 I think:

The man of Gondor on the left was the very first one.

Unfortunately I don't have anything even remotely current, since lately I have just added to my hordes of common warriors and I haven't bothered taking pictures of them. However, this one is from 2007 and one of the latest ones:
