Hello guys, as you may have noticed, yes I'm very new here.

But not to diverge too much, and bore you with an introduction, I'd like some tips on painting dried blood.

I'm painting up some Osgiliath veterans soon, and I'd like to add some wear and wounds to them. I have fresh blood nailed, but I've never attempted dried blood.

Could yiu guys give me some tips on Painting dried blood? Thanks :-D

For dried blood there was a guide that used real blood, but that was nonsense, I tried it and it failed. So if the godlike ultimate tool "blood for the blood god" does not fit to you ( i highly suggest it for veterans, you cant be sure that this paint is for dried or fresh blood, it cant be both), then you will probably need a dark red ink, not sure which one but search it a bit I think this is what they used above scorched brown to get the effect.

If you pick up some Tamiya Clear Red and then mix this 50/50 with either black (or brown) wash or paint you'll get a nice dried blood mix.
