Hi, I wanted to find out if it is possible to water down a colour so it becomes a wash and same for an ink? And if it is possible, what is the right mixture? Ty |

It's possible, add two-three drops of water. However, the effect won't be the same effect as using a proper wash, as washes have more pigments than watered down paints. This effect could perhaps be countered by applying a few coats of watered down paint after the previous coat has dried. I personally also often water down 'normal' paints as washes, have found that official washes/inks give much better results. Hope that helps and have fun experimenting! |
