But I just bought Battle Companies..

Hopefully the new edition won't carry over the same galleries of developers battle companies.

Exactly how I feel. I was hoping for a new release in April, since it's been 6 months since Pelennor Fields. Unless this has a killer boxed set, I'm passing.

I, for one, am excited to see what's new with this one. I'm hoping to get a bunch of people interested with this.

There's news!
And I like it!
Well, I think I might like the most new rules. I'm not sure if I will like all changes, but the most seems quite nice.

When this was first announced I was alittle bummed because i bought the first one at launch and bought the White Dwarfs basically for the BC content, but nah, after that article I'm pretty hyped. It looks like a really good little unexpected gem for the hobby, will be pre-ordering.

Actually, I've decided to change my mind. This actually looks pretty good. I'll probably ask for a copy for Christmas.

I was a bit bummed initially as I really haven't got my money's worth from the first one yet. BUT, I changed my mind on further reflection. I reckon that this is the "Directors Cut" edition - longer, fuller fatter + FAQs. The first edition was far more popular than expected and sold out several times over, so I reckon they got the go-ahead to improve it and reissue it. Personally, while I could do with not spending another £30 I'd still rather have the "new and improved" version than the old version with a load of WD article photocopies and FAQs and Devlan Mud stuffed in it to root through whenever I played a game.
