Sorry if this has been posted before, but I can't see anything. Here appears to be a full list of GW's upcoming Hobbit releases: http://pastebin.com/9EC3qw3b The list is mixed up with some WH releases as well though. |

Looks cool but it are almost only heroes that they will bring out if it is the good list But this looks nice: Silvan Elves: Mirkwood Warhost Will it be a warhost that cost 75 or 80 ezuro's with alot of figs in it? that would be nice But i also didn't see new dwarf warriors, or am i wrong? |

I think most of this is Devlan Mud to be honest! They are completely destroying the balance of the game with more and more powerfull stuff! A lot of these miniatures don't belong to middleearth either...the gap between LOTR and WHF is narrowing quickly...all those werewolf and vampire thingies, aswell as mounted tomb wraiths and fire archers of mirkwood are to much for me! But I'll stop complaining, as everyone should see it for himself if he wants to spend his money on this |

I am still sorting through it. I need to confirm I under stand the product codes. Pl for plastic? and RE for resin? |

But I'll stop complaining, as everyone should see it for himself if he wants to spend his money on this First forums are for opinions so you are welcome to complain as far as I am concerned. I think you will change your opinion of what belongs in middle Earth when you read the 12 volumes of the History of middle earth. I saw some things on the list from the First and Second Age back ground. May be flash backs in the movie Balance is another issue all together. You are correct it is GW's policy to add more and more powerful stuff. They think they can sell more figures that way. Quote: the gap between LOTR and WHF is narrowing quickly. I have all 8 additions of WHFB. I will strongly disagree. I really think that discussion belongs on the OldHammer Fourm. |

I saw some things on the list from the First and Second Age back ground. May be flash backs in the movie I agree with that, I read some of it but still...the LOTR battle game is set in the third age mainly, so IMO the figures should stick with that broad context. Quote: the gap between LOTR and WHF is narrowing quickly. Oldman Willow wrote: I have all 8 additions of WHFB. I will strongly disagree. I really think that discussion belongs on the OldHammer Fourm. I meant that in an exaggerated way and only concerning the miniatures. I tried out the WHFB and know that the game system is totally different. But set alone the size and the degree of realism of the newer releases for LOTR were far away from the first fellowship releases. Miniatures tend to become bigger and less realistic in terms of proportions and detail as they aren't based on specific pictures from the movies anymore. The first miniatures all had to be approved by the actors themselves and were loaded with tons of filigrane details. They all had sculpted eyeballs as well as nicely modelled face, while now mostly there are just a couple of rough details in a face. By no means I want to say that the WHFB Miniatures are bad, but I really love the realism of the LOTR miniatures. PS: Sorry for the bad language in the previous post, I mean no harm and hope that I haven't offended anyone! |

I thought you were referring to the rules Quote: realistic in terms of proportions and detail I do not think GW can manage that in Plastic finecast is a bust

I'm eagerly anticipating the releases! It's interesting to see Turin Turambar included in the list, and maybe the werewolves are first age stuff as well. I certainly hope this will lead to a Silmarillion release wave (mainly heroes, since the units necessary to build varied Noldor, Sindar, Dwarven and Orc forces are already available - oh, did someone mention Humans?). In that case, Fëanor is at the top of my wishlist. |

Wow, people at GW HQ are going to be well put out at this leek, i imagine the film studio will not be happy either! There has to be £100s & £100s of pounds of release, oh well better get saving! "Adventure" scheme sounds interesting, are they going to do modules? Personally, I cant wait, BRING IT ON GW |
