I just ordered a dwarf ballista and some barud dur cos I dont want them in finecast! .. rather have metal / plastic than finecast tbh

I actually prefer to paint plastic, finecast than metal. Eventually they will come out. What should i do?

If any of you still want the metals just get them on ebay. They are often less than half the price and a a bit of acetone containing nail polish remover (about £1 for a bottle which will do maybe 15 models) and it will be good as new.

I have 9, want a total of 24. So glad this popped up otherwise i would have been saving for these only to find them in FC.

I don't know if I like or dislike finecast to be honest. I love the nicer details on the models, and making them easier to pin saves a lot of time. But on the other side.. I don't want my models to have miscasts in them like airbubbles or be bended. Although the bending might get easily fixed with boiling water, I'm still afraid that I'd make them even worse

the only thing I truely hate are the prices.. such as the cave drake and the king's champion, it's getting way to expensive if you ask me.. and dwarfs don't seem to go welll on ebay..

Yeah the price bugs me too.. But things like the Cave Drake were damn awful to build in metal, I would love a Finecast one

Means I could actually transport it around without fearing it breaking or chipping!

I sometimes have issues with weapons on the finecast, but the actual model itself has always been good casts for lotr.

all you have to worry about is melting :!:

It will not chip, the paint will just come off in ribbons when it flexes.

I never in 20 years purchased a defective metal model from Games Workshop. However, I have never purchased a fine cast model that was not defective. I am sick of Games Work shop employees treating me like I am stupid. The definition of good customer service is not replacing defective products with more defective products. Stop telling me fine cast is better because you don't have the tools or skill to work with metal. I know you work for Games Workshop. Did the leave out the customer is always right when you took customer service classes.

The number one rule of customer service is if you do something well the customer will remember forever, but if you do something wrong the customer will tell a hundred people.
Finecast is a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourself for promoting it.

Le sigh. I was just thinking about going for some Guardians of the Galahdrim Court myself. Who knows. Maybe there will be a funky deal for them at GD Chicago this upcoming Saturday. I don't want much finecast myself (finecast for things with spindly stuff like swords and pikes.) I just had to snip off the sword on my Knight of the White Tower. My Sauron is just fine though.

And since it was free shipping if I bought $75 worth of stuff, I bought two more mounted RRG and sons of Eorl each. I spent more, but I saved money...! :shock:
