This is actually true. It is, however, only WH40K Space Marines or Ork Nobz from the White Dwarf issue when the new edition came out.

You still have to buy the WD though.

On a serious note, I wouldn't pay much attention to this and a few other posts. It appears that he is not so much a Goblin, but indeed is more similar to a Cave Troll.

Are you serious?! I never took a good look, I just figured that it was leftover stock of the minis that was intended to get people interested. I got 2 sets anyway (my buddy and I both got the issue for the Galadhrim stuff in it; I play 40K, he doesn't), plus a couple of WH40K starter sets, so I'm all good for Termies and Nobz.

Wow though, they try to get you coming and going...

More information, please! Is it just one store in the UK or all of them?

No need to worry Harold, TheGreenGoblin is just a Troll. This probably has no basis in fact. One of the moderator's will probably lock this in the morning, to avoid confusion.

Lord Hurin, yup I'm preatty sure it was a give-away with that particular issue of WD, you'd have to ask someone who bought it though, as I'm not 100% sure. :)

Oh, it definitely was a promotion with that issue of WD. I got one myself, as I believe it was the same issue that had the Galadhrim stats in it.

What I meant was that I've seen a stand in the front of my GW saying "Free mini here" or something like that with the Terminator and Nob sprue in a bin. Maybe tomorrow I'll visit on my way home from work and investigate.

Bottom line though, if GW is still giving away free minis they are Warhammer 40K, not LoTR. I do believe there are occasional events where you can go in for a painting lesson and they'll supply a mini.

Maybe Green Goblin is getting April Fools in a little early? :) Exploding pumpkins to follow.

I doubt that GW will give away miniatures for free... except for the WD miniatures.

Well I live with one of my local store workers and she has said nothing about giving away free models. The only one they tend to do are first painting lesson models which are the old Skull Pass/Black Reach models.
Oh and the instore Club models, go Hawk Lords!!

They give you a plastic space marine to paint if you book a painting intro, so yes, technically.
