Well it doesn't look like GW have given up on SBG just yet... In the preview of next month's WD, next to the LOTR SBG logo: Quote: Tactics for the evil Men of Harad and Rhun in your skirmish battles of The Lord of The Rings.
And on the GW site: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?catId=&categoryId=1100004a§ion=whiteDwarf&aId=2200011a Yes, a whole article of tactics just for SBG! Hope remains! |

Cool, looking forward to seeing more SBG source books possibly in the future as I have no interest in WotR...so GW, please take another swing at SBG! |

I don't think the intention was ever to abandon the SBG. However, I think that we, as GW gamers, are especially lucky in that we have two rulesets to support both small-scale and large-scale gaming. |

It seems they've edited the description on the page, and changed it to Quote: Thralls of Mordor , but that still means the same thing: NEW RULES!
Middle-earth luminary Adam Troke examines the armies of Evil Men, and offers tactics on how to use them to crush the foes in your skirmish battles of The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game |

No, it means a tactical discussion. Probably nothing we don't already know, but might be worth picking up. |
