Well, apparently "The Hobbit" is soon to be made into a movie. (split into two movies or something) I'm not too sure about it all yet. Without a doubt GW will make a "The Hobbit" warhammer game. Surely they will. It may just be an expansion off LOTR SBG. Does anybody think GW will make it and if they do, will it be the same as LOTRSBG or just an expansion etc...? |

If they don't make it for SBG I will create my own supplement based on Bilbo's adventure. |

Told ya. It will be a 54mm skirmish role-playing game ala Inquisitor, so that the Hobbit models are big enough to see. They will then re-release all the metal models for The Battle of Five Armies so that you can recreate the final batte in the sourcebook. Of course, this is all wildly sarcastic conjecture, but it is, on some level, actually plausible... |

What do you mean Gaarew? Are they gonna bring one out? |

I mean that nobody actually knows what, if anything, they will do, but what I said is a complete and utter fabrication, yet, at the same time, is well within the realms of possibility given Games Workshops past trends. |

I think it would be cool to see Beorn and the Beornlings made. Plus the 14 Dwarven heros who aren't Gimli. |

Well you got Dain and Balin already, what's you complaint? |

Because another 6 of each isn't Thorin's company. Ooh, plastic models... hm. I'd say... proper Rangers of Ithilien (did they already do those?) |

Not forgetting Durin, Mardin, Murin and Drar. That's 6 who aren't Gimli. Add in the 2 generic Captains, 4 Dwarf Kings, and 24 different plastic sculpts between the Warrior and Ranger boxes, and it's definitely a lot of leeway for making Thorin's Company. |

I think though, that he meant he wanted ones specifically designed for the purpose of being Thorin's company, John. And either way, you have to admit it would be a good set, especially if it included a new Bilbo sculpt. |

I doubt GW could make a better job on Beorn than UKFB did, so just buy his. |

I agree completely, Ingold. A Thorin and Company Boxed Set would be wonderful. I would love to see GW's view of the traveling Dwarves, and a new Bilbo would be great. Not like we need another Gandalf though... |

There's actually a thread on the Palantir about something similar: Is this Thorin Oakenshield's Company? It's about the dwarf ranger's boxed set, and does raise an interesting point. I am planning to use this set to make the company by just painting them the appropriate colours. I will also get a Bilbo models by either using the existing bilbo, removing the book and adding an outsize cloak, or perhaps adapting a Frodo model. For Thorin, I am not sure, I may convert some of the remaining 12 models or find another. I have a question though: I am sure I've seen a picture of someone who has done this on another website, but I have run numerous searches and had no success. If someone could direct me there I would be very grateful. Edit: The picture I am thinking of has the company arranged on a kind of hill in long, wide sprawling formation, with each in clear view. |

I think El Rabbito did this, but it seems like he removed the pic from his gallery. |

Yes, with the Ruin of Arnor supplement. Unless somehow you consider those "improper." Their clothing was clearly based on the older Captured by Gondor Rangers. |

Given that I don't have that supplement, I wouldn't have known. Besides, I replied to the wrong thread. That's the problem with having 20 unlabeled tabs open simultaneously. |
