Nope, they haven't even announced them officially here yet.

Legolas31, the plastic Easterling Kataphracts are not yet officially available in the U.S. In fact, the metal boxed set still "ships within 24 hours."

I have to say, I really don't care for the Watcher "in the Water" model, now that I've had some time to dwell on it. It actually looks rather stupid, nonsensical, and odd. I think the new Easterling models are missing something, or don't have enough of something, but I can't place my finger on it; the new goblin king and shaman seem unnecessary, but Groblog does look quite cool. The new models that come with the command units, in, I think, every case, are better looking than the models they accompany in the boxed set--I really like the Knight of the White Tower a lot. I think I remember seeing the "Grond Beast" in a White Dwarf War of the Ring battle report of Minas Tirith, and wondered then if they would ever release it, or something like it. I like it, but I feel like it shouldn't be put to work as a "mini-Mumak" for Mordor, but I can't think of any other purpose for it that would guarantee its use in every battle a gamer played. The Horror from the Deep isn't giving me the same "anti-Middle-earth" vibe some other GW releases first did; it actually reminds me of what I've read about Tolkien's first concept of the Balrog. I like it. As I mentioned waaay back on page two, the Warg Lootriders are my favorite. These are mostly good releases. They actually fit in Middle-earth quite well in my opinion.

When compared to Gulvhar, the Horro from the Deep is much more Middle-Earthy. Both of them are models I really want, but the prices are just so prohibitive at my budget.

Guys, these new releases have been posted in the Advance Order section of LotR on GW. Here's a link: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat750002a&rootCatGameStyle=
So, here's a price run-down in US dollars along with a complete listing of the products in this release for future reference in this thread. Besides the new models we've already discussed, a lot of older models are being re-released in Finecast. If this post is too "heavy," I'll go back in and erase the pictures if necessary:
Kingdoms of Men Sourcebook - $24.75
Image
The Free Peoples Sourcebook - $24.75
Image
Mordor Sourcebook - $24.75
Image
The Fallen Realms Sourcebook - $24.75
Image
Moria & Angmar Sourcebook - $24.75
Image
Easterling Kataphrakts - $36.25
Image
Amdur, Lord of Blades - $33
Image
Easterling Dragon Knight - $23
Image
Easterling War Priest - $23
Image
Khamul the Easterling - $33
Image
The Watcher in the Water - $71 (includes 360 view)
Image
Warg Marauder - $24.75 (includes 360 view)
Image
Dweller in the Dark - $41.25 (includes 360 view)
Image
Groblog, King of the Deeps - $15.25
Image
Ashrak the Spiderkin - $13.25
Image
Great Beast of Gorgoroth - $71 (includes 360 view)
Image
Gondor Commanders - $39.50
Image
Rohan Commanders - $39.50
Image
Galadhrim Commanders - $39.50
Image
Dwarf Commanders - $39.50
Image
Easterling Commanders - $39.50
Image
Mordor Orc Commanders - $39.50
Image
Morannon Orc Commanders - $39.50
Image
Isengard Commanders - $39.50
Image
Moria Goblin Commanders - $33
Image
Haradrim Commanders - $39.50
Image
Mordor Orc Shaman - $15.25
Image
Casualties - $29.75
Image

HUGE release. It's so tempting to just get one of the cheaper products, but I'm gonna have to pass. "Waiting for the Hobbit," I feel like I say that over and over :) But anyway, I feel like these new releases, together, should be the subject of a painting challenge in maybe March or April.

It's because Canada has MUCH higher taxes than the US does.

Anyway, getting the rest of my Easterling army (Plastic Kataphracts, here I come) and at least one of the rule books. The LotR forces section has been split up along the lines of the new sourcebooks. All of the men are in one section etc. Looks like WotR is being swept aside.

The new Getting Started sections make it seem like 500 pt battle will be the norm (vs 700). Least ways for GW stuff.

Also, the haradrim example army has 50% bows, though the Mordor army says the Great Beast counts as only one model in terms of bow limit. The Haradrim are ALSO 7 pts now.

Maybe it's the normal price haradrim +1 pt to have the Betrayer lead them.

Maybe, I would think that it's part of the game balancing part, but that is definitely possible.

I have odrered the Gorgoroth beast and the dweller in the dark despite my fc reservations though I have told my stockist that I want to check them over first before I part with any cash. It seems strange to me that the Gorgoroth beast isn't plastic as it is obviouusly a sizeable model. There are some nice offerings in the new releases and also having half the issue dedicated to LOTR is a nice change.
