The main rulebook "an unexpected journey" contains rules for the game itself and profiles for the miniatures from that movie.

There and back again replaces profiles for Bolg, Azog, Thrain and Thror from this book, and contains all the profiles for desolation of smaug and battle of the five armies. Both updated profiles and totally new ones.

And of course, the profiles from Unexpected Journey can still be found on the Black Library website (a few of these have also been updated in the new book however; e.g. Thror and Thrain have profiles reflecting their actual appearance in the film, Azog has altered rules that replace all previous versions, etc.):

Does anyone know if the plan for the future of the line was to cross over to forge world being the exclusive producer of LOTR minis? Is GW going to stop carrying them? Will we see, for example, a new set of the 9 walkers produced by forge world? Or will GW produce the "old line" and Forge World produce the "new line" (pun intended).

Whatever games workshop has made will still be in production for the forseeable future, they will also bring back some oop models over the course of time "every profile will have a model"

Any NEW models will be produced by Forge World

I really like the khopesh swords, just not with the berserkers. A nice option for my Egyptians, though, and I like the ideas of multiple weapons.

I'm actually happy "There and Back Again" and the Laketown houses are sold out. More support for our hobbit hobby than GW thought is not a bad thing! If I don't get one of each for Christmas, there'll be some mixed emotions...

It was on preorder december 3rd and was released december 10th.

It sold out in less than two days and will be restocked as soon as possible. Since it is produced in china there is a 6 week shipping time on it. plus production time. So expect it back in february.

Edit - see GW response in General Discussion

I am not sure if clicking "Email Me" if an item is temporarily out of stock actually helps bolster the numbers for the next round of production. Maybe we should all click "Email Me" on the out of stock items to show GW our interest in keeping these models in production and in stock for their webstore.

I do this. At least once a month I'll go on to GW's website and click the "email me" button on everything that is out of stock. Deep down I think it communicates with GW that there is still interest in the model. Even if I don't plan to buy immediately, I need to ensure the model is available when I actually want to buy one.

Having the latest releases sell out in a matter of hours probably is a pretty good signal, but the above can't hurt - in addition to being useful for the actual notification that the item is back.
